Born and raised in Shiner, Texas, by two servant leaders — my father, the town veterinarian, and my mother, a speech-language pathologist. They, along with our close-knit small-town community, taught me to put my faith first, followed by family, and to lead with genuine love for everyone I encounter. It was a wonderful upbringing grounded in faith, love of God and country, and a deep appreciation for where I came from.
I eventually made my way to Fort Worth to attend TCU, and after graduate school, I began my private practice. Along the way, I married my husband, Scott Marlow, a cardiac anesthesiologist, and together we have raised four amazing young men — George, Thomas, Henry, and William — who are my greatest joy.
I promised my parents that I would never forget my roots, and that promise continues to shape who I am, both personally and professionally, every day.
